“ Found this place on our way to Charlotte from the beach and stopped when everything downtown was crowded. Glad we did! It took us a while to our sandwiches (4 cheese melt and steak melt) but the staff were very patient and answered all our questions. We decided to eat outside and our food was delivered with a smile. Bread was thick and nicely browned, like Texas toast. 4 cheeses included pepper Jack which was a surprise, and may have been mentioned. That cheese was also in the steak, and that was fine. Steak was strictly ok, not a lot of meat taste but nice consistency. Added mushrooms were plentiful and tasty. Both sandwiches were large enough to fill hungry travelers. Overall I'm glad we stopped and tried Sun-sational. If we once again find ourselves in Whiteville I would stop and try something else, because all the sandwiches looked creative and a good value. Recommended! ”
“ AMAZING! We stopped here to eat on our way back from Oak Island, it was to die for. Fresh, Fast, and Tasty! The lady referred to as Jackie, who I am assuming is the owner was absolutely so sweet and helpful. I would definitely recommend stopping here. Pretty busy too I might add, they also offer a drive thru if you don't want to get out of the car! Super convenient! ”

“ the service was so fast that they had our order ready before we finished getting our drinks and getting to a table!!!! Fantastic a small very friendly place. the tuna sub I got was the best tuna sub I have ever had. and I usually always order tuna subs whenever having subs. My daughter ordered # 19 as a salad and said it was great. best she had had since she was a kid She is now a middle age adult although the place did fill up fast there was never any rush for us to leave. the only down fall to the place is lack of parking. but if you go around the block 1 time someone will leave and you will find a place. they also have a drive through which was equally as busy as the sit down crowd. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. One of the Best places in Whiteville, NC to eat. ”

“ I haven't been here in years, but was so happy to learn that it is just as good as I remember! As a Columbus County native, Sub-Sational has been a staple eatery for as long as I can remember! I'm a fan of the Sub-Sational Italian which is ham, cappicola, salami, pepperoni, and cheese. I asked for mine to be made into a salad and added olives, pickles, and banana peppers. Tasty for sure! My Mama and I shared the pesto pasta salad which was good too. Very plain and simple pasta salad. They have re-done the outside recently and now there is a nice covered porch on one side for outside dining. I'm glad to see this hometown staple still going strong! ”
